Progress Reports
Just a reminder that progress reports go home on Friday, October 6th.  Laura sent out an email with directions for all elementary teachers.  Middle school principals please email Laura to let her know if you want the district to send an email to parents regarding the need to check PowerSchool or if you would like that communication to come from the school site.  Laura emailed more details regarding that to middle school admin on Thursday.

Social Media
Thank you again for sharing our story on social media.  It is amazing how many educators are sharing the great things happening.  Just a reminder about our recommendations:
-Be positive
-Do not include student names with pictures
-Know who is on the DNR for social media list. Secretaries should know how to run this report and teachers can see in Power Teacher Pro under student demographics.  Please make sure teachers know where to get this information if they do not already.
-If you do post a picture of a kid on social media that is on the DNR for Social Media remove the picture and email parents that the picture has been removed. Please email Brandon if this happens just so he can make sure everything was done correctly.
-We use social media for three main reasons, to celebrate, to learn from one another and to tell our story.

PD Cycle Days
We wanted to thank all elementary principals for coming to one of the PD days at the DO.  It really helped raise the level of conversation with teachers.  Michael and Melissa will be contacting middle school admin to let them know when we would like for them to come to the PD days for middle school.
