 Science Update 
Because of questions principals have asked we are re-posting this information. Here is an update on where we are with NGSS TK-8, and where we are heading in the next two years. This document also includes information about our plans next year for Mystery Science. Let Michael Nordlin know if you have any comments or questions:

Tommy Apostolos
The Tommy Apostolos Fund is hosting our annual Dinner and Dance Benefit on Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 6:00 - 10:00 at the Roseville Sports Center.  The funds raised from this event allow the Tommy Apostolos Fund to provide winter clothing to approximately 400 Roseville City School District children during their annual Holiday Shopping Day in December.  It should be a great evening!  We hope to see you there.

On behalf of the RCSD Foundation thank you for your time at the recent RCSD Champions meeting.  As discussed, here are the promo codes and additional information about the event for you and your staff.  Thanks in advance for your participation and support to make this event a successful one. 

Run4Roseville Schools Online Registration is Open!
The RCSD Foundation's Run4Roseville Schools will take place on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at Maidu Park and registration is now open!  This is the Foundation's primary fundraiser of the year with proceeds benefiting music education and classroom grants throughout the district. We look forward to your participation in the fun-filled, crowd favorite Principal's Dash, where you will compete against your colleagues in a short obstacle course, and show your school spirit!  We also encourage you to enjoy an active morning with your students and their families by participating in the 5K run/walk.

By registering early your participation will encourage your staff and families to register as well.

New this year, more student and school awards 
Awards for the top male and female elementary and middle school student, and the top 3 male and female students in each elementary and middle school grade level for the 1 mile and 5k runs. There will be team awards to the top 3 elementary schools and the top middle school.  A team consists of the first 5 student finishers from a school. Will your school be the top team in Roseville?
Encourage early registration for more chances to win!
Please register early, and help us share information about this fun family event with your staff and families. There will be weekly drawings of registered RCSD students during the month of April for raffle prizes including an iPad mini, wireless headphones, family adventure packs, and great local prizes. 
Principal's Dash
The annual Principal's Dash is always a fan favorite! This year, come decked out in your best spirit wear, ready to charge a short obstacle course that will highlight skills of all levels and abilities! Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks...

This is something helpful to keep in hand for families in need not only during the holidays, but all year long. LiveScan Update The Roseville PD is no longer doing live scans for fingerprinting. Please refer parents to other resources. Fire Marshall Inspection Follow-up was completed with the fire inspector to clarify what each school site needs to have posted. BUSINESS SERVICES Assemblies Involving Animals If you are hosting an assembly at your site that involves animals you may need to have parents sign the SIG Activities Waiver. All assemblies that involve animals on campus should be communicated to parents before the event. This can be done through an email, newsletter, blog, etc. If your students WILL be touching the animals, parents must fill out the SIG Activities Waiver. If your students will NOT be touching animals and will only be looking at the animals from a distance, you do not need to have parents fill out the waiver. Kindergarten Communication Timeline Please refer to this Kindergarten Communication Timeline which has the dates that Swift messages will be sent from the District and from the Site regarding full day Kindergarten and early dismissal for the first 7 days of school.
