“Amplifying the light of learning”-Our learning is so bright, we have to wear shades!  
We are in the middle of planning our District PD Choice Day for November 1.  RCSD Admin, we would love if you would submit to present on the November 1st PD day! If you are interested in being a presenter...please complete the application by September 17, so we can organize our content and sessions.  Thank you for sharing your learning and helping the district grow. If you have teachers that you know would do a great job, please encourage them to present.

We have a representative coming to the district office on September 4.  She will be presenting to the Assessment Coordinators and principals, at the Assessment Coordinator meeting.  She will walk us through some of the new dashboard settings and taking any questions. If you would like individual support, she will be available by appointment from 2-3:45, and then presenting at the AC meeting from 3:45 - 4:45.  Email Carrie if you would like to set up a time to meet before the AC meeting.

PIE Grant
A reminder PIE Grant Program applications are due by Thursday, September 13, 2018.

PIE Grant Program recipients agree to attend the October 4, 2018, Board meeting in order to receive your grant allocation, and the May 2, 2019, Board meeting in order to report the results of your student work. Please click on the link below to access the 2018 PIE Grant Application.  The RCSD Foundation's mission focuses on STEAM: Science, technology, engineering, arts, and math enrichment. Preference will be given to those applicants who request funding for any of these areas.

All documentation supporting your PIE Grant Application needs to be scanned and emailed to, OR shared via Google with, Renee Borowiak, rborowiak@rcsdk8.org on behalf of the Foundation. You may also send hard copies of your documentation in the district mail to the Superintendent's Office, attn: Renee Borowiak.

Students in grades 3-8 now have the ability to change their RCSDKids password in Clever.  Please see the helpful How-To for more information.
