Chromebook Deployment Info
Based on the Governor's order to maintain 6' of social distancing for all essential services, the Information Systems Technician team has focused on getting the Chromebooks ready ahead of time for pickup on the scheduled day, thus minimizing the time parents are in the room.
The team has completed ahead of time the technical requirement of the mobile device agreement, ensured the device turns on and has all keys, and a working charger is available for each device.
In alignment with the executive order, no more than TEN individuals can gather in the same room at a time. Staff present in the room will be limited to one Information Systems Technician, one Principal/Site Leader/Clerical, and one translator (where applicable).

  • Legal guardians or emergency contacts should be asked to wait outside if there are already two legal guardians or emergency contacts in the room.
  • Legal guardians or emergency contacts should remain 6' away from staff, and others while waiting in line, at all times.
  • Parents have been asked to bring their own pen to sign the appropriate paperwork to minimize multiple people touching the same surface.
Once invited into the room, legal guardians or emergency contacts will be able to pick up a Chromebook for their student(s) from a previously set table, complete the student and parent information of the RCSD Student Mobile Device Loaner Agreement form, while the Principal verifies via Photo ID that the legal guardian or emergency contact is at least 18 years old, and associated with the student in PowerSchool > Contacts, and provides the legal guardian or emergency contact with the Student Number to complete the form.

The parent will leave the form on the table, grab the device, and leave for the next parent to come in. A copy of the Mobile Device Agreement (Spanish) will be available if needed for the parent to read. The translator can be 6' away at all times explaining the form, and/or any questions that might come up.

We have printed 50 copies of the No Cost Internet Access resource in English and Spanish, for each site.

We are asking that parents/guardians, and emergency contacts, not feeling well not attend.

During the checkout process, we will be practicing appropriate social distancing. ONLY one to two legal guardians or emergency contacts will be invited into the room at a time.
