From Jamey:

On Monday, June 22, I will be sharing about three learning options with the Board for the Fall 2020 school year.

Traditional 5-day a week
Full-time distance learning-Champions Academy
Hybrid-2 days in school and three days home (site/s TBD)
Based on the parent/guardian survey, there is enough interest in each program to go ahead with these if the Board decides to approve them.  There is no vote on Monday, and the decision will be made on the 29th. However, we are sure that we will be going forward with the Champions Academy (online), as is every district around us.  Teachers can apply to Edjoin for this program up until the 3rd.

The 2020-2021 school year will be one where flexibility and change will be the norm. Safety and support will be the most important priorities for the district. For example, a teacher that has a health condition may be selected to teach in the Champions Academy next year, and the following year return to a site. Any child that participates in one of the programs for 2020-2021, not at their school of residence, will be able to return the following year.

Derk will be messaging this information out later to staff and families.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and Happy Father's Day to all the fathers in the group!
