Leadership
A reminder we have Leadership tomorrow.  Here is the agenda for the meeting.

SSP Meeting Information

There is a meeting scheduled for Tuesday 9/22 (changed from 9/17) to train the NEW SSP facilitators (1st half of the meeting) and give updated information to the entire group (2nd half of the meeting). Here is the document with information and links if you would like to attend a portion or all of the meeting. New and current psychologists and RSP teachers are invited to the training on 9/22 but it is OPTIONAL. If you have a completely new psychologist or RSP teacher, it is recommended they attend the first portion at least (3:30-4:15). As you begin to think about students who may require intervention, it is important to follow the process of SAMs/SSMs. Updated data is required and it is crucial to start new documentation for this school year. Please let your teachers know to follow the process just like they did last year. Dedicate these next few weeks to looking at your most at-risk students from last year and checking in on them. For new students to the SSP process, it is recommended to start meeting for them during the week of October 5th. This gives teachers ample time to complete new data gathering. As always, there may be students who are in need of an expedited process. If that is the case with a student, please contact your coach to discuss. You can always reach out to Julie Murdaugh as well.

Optional PD on Monday
A reminder that we are offering Optional PD on Monday. If you have questions about the grade book, we will be going over that on Monday, September 14 and we recommend you as the admin join if you want to learn more.

SSP Day and Time

Please fill out this simple form with your regularly scheduled day and time for your SSPs for this school year!

Requests for Special Education Assessment

If you receive a request for an assessment, this guide explains options for how the school site may respond. It has been shared with your special education staff, and school psychologists can take the lead on responding to requests for assessment. We wanted to be sure principals had the information as well to help guide your site teams. If you have questions, please reach out to your program specialist.

Data Team Meetings
All school administrators should be scheduling your first DTM for trimester 1 ASAP. Administrators should be meeting with grade level/department teams to review benchmark assessments and/or IReady scores. While the window for IReady is open until 10/9, many sites are nearly finished. Please ensure you have your meetings on the calendar by then. Here is a sample meeting template and here is the DTM doc with other resources.

Progress Reports
Elementary- Please see the information that will be included in the Educator Blog today regarding progress reports.  If you have any questions please ask your coach.

Middle School- We will have more information next week regarding MS progress reports.
