Student Placement after November 4th
Student assignments for their new class, for Champions and on-site, will come out on October 19th for elementary and October 23rd for middle school.  Please do not announce placements or changes before that date, as we are still settling assignments and do not want to create issues around incorrect information being shared.

Elementary Leaders:
Here is the doc from our elementary break out groups: Elementary Break Out Group Discussion Ideas
Bathroom Policy Procedures: See this doc for details about the bathroom procedures for students. Hooks will be provided by the district office and sent to your school sites soon.

-We have updated the In-Person/Champions Leadership Document with all of the questions and answers from this week. In addition you will find resources from the leadership meeting attached to the doc.
-Here is the link to the latest version of the Reopening Purchased Items for your site. Share with staff as appropriate.

Report Card Information
We are still working on the report card guides that will go home to parents in both English and Spanish and will have that information next week as well as more information about how report cards for elementary will go home to parents. Middle School will be emailing their report cards. Once again we will have more information about this process next week.

Student Groups in Otus
Every school now has a student group in Otus that automatically gets updated by Clever.  This is helpful if you have something you wanted to share with all of your students on their Bookshelf.  It could be something like Sami Circuit videos or counselors that want to share a folder of resources.  The formatting for the groups is School: (School Initials).  Only Admin account users can share with these groups.

Zoom has disabled Date of Birth verification for all new student accounts moving forward

What this means for you...

After a new student's RCSD Kids Google account has been created, students will be able to sign to Zoom directly with Google.

This replaces the manual student account creation process in Zoom. Students will no longer receive an automated email from Zoom that an account has been created for them.

Please follow the steps outlined in the document below, and request students go directly to Zoom to sign in using their RCSD Kids account.

If you have any questions, please submit a SchoolDude ticket or give the help desk a call at (916) 771-1645 and we'll be happy to assist.
