Update on Independent Study Requests
Below is messaging you can use if you are getting questions about Independent Study.  This messaging is optional for you to send out, not required, or you can use it when parents ask.

The State of California has added increased requirements to Independent Study contracts. Due to these added requirements, RCSD will not be offering Independent Study contracts moving forward for the 20-21 school year. If you have any questions, please contact the school office for support.

BUSINESS SERVICES Assemblies Involving Animals If you are hosting an assembly at your site that involves animals you may need to have parents sign the SIG Activities Waiver. All assemblies that involve animals on campus should be communicated to parents before the event. This can be done through an email, newsletter, blog, etc. If your students WILL be touching the animals, parents must fill out the SIG Activities Waiver. If your students will NOT be touching animals and will only be looking at the animals from a distance, you do not need to have parents fill out the waiver. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES LCFF Funds If you are placing any orders using LCFF money, here is a helpful resource to look at when determining if LCFF can be used. When in doubt, always reach out to your coach or Rachael. Kindergarten Communication Timeline Please refer to this Kindergarten Communication Timeline which has the dates that Swift messages will be sent from the District and from the Site regarding full day Kindergarten and early dismissal for the first 7 days of school.
