Form to Tracking Professional Development Hours for Classified Staff For your IAs and LMS that are participating in your site PD on August 2nd, please share this form to have your instructional assistants and LMS document their participation to receive credit toward their required PD hours for the 21/22 school year.  IAs and LMS do not need to complete a timesheet as they are already paid for PD hours.  Those who choose to participate on 8/2 will not need to participate in 3 hours of PD later in the school year. MDS do not need to complete the form.  They should complete a timesheet for participation in the 8/2 PD and will be paid separately. Cleaning Up Site Staff Rosters in Otus and Admin Access If you look at your site in Otus you will see staff that moved positions or retired. We also want to make sure we are giving admin access to anyone that needs it. Please fill out the form below with this information. Please do not remove the staff member from your site list in Otus by using the trash button, it is something that must be done on the back end. Middle School Chromebook Expectations Where to Find Report Cards A reminder you can find student report cards last year in the Folder shared with your school site or the Champions folder.  All principals should have access to the Champions Folder and school site folder.  If a staff member such as a secretary does not have access, the principal can share access with them.  You can also look in the Parent Portal through PowerSchool for any active students.  You can watch this video on how to check the Portal Overview as an admin. *This video is for internal use only, please do not share with public.   2021-2022 Assessment Calendar Below is the 2021-2022 assessment calendar. Please see the revised dates for iReady window 3. Window 3 will be from March 28th-May 6th. The first window is August 9-September 10th. 2021-2022 Assessment Calendar  Foundational Skills Assessments for K/1  Educational Services will be providing the K-1 teachers with assessment packets for administering the Foundational Skills assessments. Packets will be delivered to sites by August 11th, 2021. The Beginning-of-Year Assessment data will be entered into Otus. Teachers will receive instructions on how and when to report this data. English Learner Site Leaders will be updated with specific schedules, testing requirements, and student lists. If you have not shared the name of your 2021-2022 EL Site Leader, please complete the English Learner Site Leader Form as soon as you have chosen a teacher to fill this role. Chromebook Returns Based on Chromebooks deployed during the 2020-21 school year, 485 student’s still have a device issued to them in either PowerSchool or through the Summer Device Program. The below email was sent to those families on Tuesday, July 27th requesting devices returned to their student’s home school or District Office on or before Friday, August 6th. 2020-21 Chromebook Returns (Students Not Returning to RCSD) 2020-21 Chromebook Returns (Current Students) From the Start Page of PowerSchool, for your site, please copy and paste the below search string to identify and select the students with a Chromebook and/or hotspot still assigned. /U_Students_Extension.STU_CHROMEBOOK=1 You can then use the above email and phone templates to communicate with these families via Swift. Once the device is returned, please notify your site Information Systems Technician so they can collect the device and migrate it from the rcsdkids to the rcsdk8 domain. As a reminder, successful implementation of our digital learning refresh plan is reliant on us working together to ensure all loaned technology is returned, including chargers, and sites continue to follow up with families to seek reimbursement for any previously reported lost, stolen, and/or damaged technology. RVA Chromebook Deployment If you have a family enrolled in the Roseville Virtual Academy (RVA) requesting a Chromebook, please ask them to email Joe Clark for assistance. Please do not deploy Chromebooks from your site to students enrolled in Roseville Virtual Academy. To students currently enrolled in either RVA or In Person for your site, please login to PowerSchool, and from Start Page, click either the link for RVA or IN PERSON (as shown below):

Immunization Reminders Please be sure to have all immunizations updated in Powerschool by the end of the day on August 3rd. Our nurses will be pulling reports on Wednesday, August 4th. Any students that are non-compliant will not be able to attend school starting the first day.  Second Step Digital Access Updates Elementary Admin -  Your coaches will be assigning your staff licenses so they are ready to go by 8/2. If you need to make any changes, Todd’s Screencastify walks you through the steps. Middle School Admin - Please pause on assigning new licenses until 7/30. We will be integrating Second Step with Clever and once the integration is complete licenses can be assigned. Let your coaches know if you have any questions or need any additional support!
