  • Reminder No School on Monday, March 21
Just a reminder to please send out communication reminding parents/guardians that there is no school on Monday for the Professional Development Day.

  • Updated COVID-19 Guidance Highlights
    • Band/Choral - Both face masks and bell covers are strongly recommended but no longer required.
    • CARE Spaces - At this time, school sites may individually determine whether to keep a separate CARE space. CARE space is not required, however as we have always done, students who are feeling ill should be isolated from others until such time as they can be picked up.
    • Staff Absences - Please note that staff will no longer be required to fill out the Symptom Screener form for illness absences. If an employee tests positive for Covid they will need to complete COVID-19 Results Reporting (Staff) form.

  • Tommy Apostolo's Annual Fundraising Dinner
Just a reminder that the Tommy Apostolo's fundraising dinner is coming up on April 2. Tommy is continuing to look for donations from RCSD leadership. If you would like to donate to the auction baskets (funds or items) or attend, please reach out to Kirsten Thomas-Acke at Thomas Jefferson or use the below QR code to make a direct donation. Thanks!

  • Outside Vendors/Deliveries
Please make sure that all vendors and delivery drivers are checking in at the office through Raptor before walking onto campus during school hours/kids on campus.

  • Google Chat Migration
In the upcoming weeks, Google will be transitioning all customers from its classic Hangouts service to its new enterprise-grade collaboration product, Google Chat, making Google Chat the default chat application.
    • Why is Google moving to Chat?
      • Along with 1:1 and group chats, Chat supports virtual spaces to help teams collaborate on projects in one place. Teams can share files from Drive, join online meetings with Meet, and pull other tools or workflows into the conversation.
    • Chat will be integrated within Gmail when launched from a web browser, or the most recent Gmail application on any mobile device.
    • For more information about the new Google Chat, please visit Google's Learning Center.
    • If you have any questions, please submit a SchoolDude ticket or give the help desk a call at (916) 771-1645, and we'd be happy to assist.

  • Updated Site Assignments - Information Systems Technicians
Please join Technology Services in welcoming two new members of the Information Systems Technician team, Ritesh Gyawali, and Jared Hoffman.
    • Ritesh joined the team in February from the Bay Area where he worked as an IT Support Technician and holds several certifications in IT Support and Information Security.
    • Jared joined the team Monday, is actively pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity and will be out at sites shadowing our Information Systems Technician team in the upcoming weeks while learning the role.
    • Please click here to view updated site assignments for our Information Systems Technician team, which will take effect Monday, March 21. Congratulations Ritesh for completing your Information Systems Technician training!
