10/31 and 11/1 PD
Please remember to share your PD plan for both PD days with all staff. For elementary this includes reaching out to your PE and Music teachers. The expectation for those two groups is that they are part of the PD in the morning of 10/31, they have the afternoon of 10/31 to meet in their groups. For 11/1 please let them know if there is part of the day you would like for them to attend (for example if you are doing Restorative Practices training they should attend).

National School Bus Safety Week- Evacuation Drill 10/19/22

The week of October 17 through October 21 is National School Bus Safety Week.

As a part of this week, we are taking the opportunity to do bus evacuation drills.  We are required by law in both the CA Code of Regulations and The California Ed Code to do this on an annual basis.  The codes are listed below for your reference.  We will be doing our evacuation drills on Wednesday, October 19 in the afternoon prior to taking the student home.  We request that school administration be on hand to assist with the drills.  We have a short speech to review the bus rules as well as talk through the evacuation process and then perform the drill.  This will take anywhere between 10 to 15 minutes based on the number of students and the cooperation received.  I understand that this is the first time that we are performing these drills in the afternoon, however, this will ensure that the students are not late getting to class in the morning.

Below is a schedule so that each school will know when to expect the bus evacuation drill.
