District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC)
Please complete the 2022-2023 DELAC Site Representative Form  by 10/7 to share the name of your site representative for the 2022-2023 school year. DELAC meetings are held from 5:00-6:00, via Zoom, and 4 -5 times per year. Jennie will reach out to all representatives to invite them to the first DELAC meeting that will be held on 10/18. SPSA

Comprehensive Needs

All of your Comprehensive Needs Assessments should be completed by now.  Feedback will be shared by next week if there are any changes that need to be made.  If you are not finished, please contact me ASAP so I don’t start reading through them and it’s not updated. 


Site Council Presentation

Some have asked if it is an expectation to go through all parts of the SPSA at your Site Council Meeting.  The recommended practice is to share the entire document with them ahead of time and then highlight goals, strategies/activities, and funding at the meeting.  If there are questions or feedback on the other parts, have time set aside at the meeting for that.

K-5 Lexia Licenses

As a reminder, the district will be able to support sites with purchasing some additional Lexia licenses. These l licenses would provide intervention for your 2nd-5th grade students that would benefit from additional support. Please let me know the number of licenses you would be interested in obtaining by Monday, October 10th.

  • Lead staff through  a collective commitments activity to determine year long commitments for relationships and PBIS/Behavior by November 9th. 

  • Discuss next steps for PLCs at your site, as well as the PD plan for Oct 31 and Nov 1 with your coach. 

  • Complete the GATE Forms by 10/28


  • Send out GATE parent letter this Friday.   

  • Review PD schedule for Oct 31st with classified staff at your sire 

  • Complete FORM to register your staff for November CPI Training

BUSINESS SERVICES Assemblies Involving Animals If you are hosting an assembly at your site that involves animals you may need to have parents sign the SIG Activities Waiver. All assemblies that involve animals on campus should be communicated to parents before the event. This can be done through an email, newsletter, blog, etc. If your students WILL be touching the animals, parents must fill out the SIG Activities Waiver. If your students will NOT be touching animals and will only be looking at the animals from a distance, you do not need to have parents fill out the waiver. Kindergarten Communication Timeline Please refer to this Kindergarten Communication Timeline which has the dates that Swift messages will be sent from the District and from the Site regarding full day Kindergarten and early dismissal for the first 7 days of school.
