We will discuss more about the March site PD day at the next Leadership. Please come prepared to talk through some of your thoughts of what you will be doing on that day.

Safety Update

Just a reminder to make sure you are debriefing each drill during the school year and including a classified employee.  The debrief is a chance to talk about what went well and what needs to be improved moving forward.  When you complete a lockdown drill, please make sure to complete the Google form linked below.

Learning Management System Selection Committee
RCSD is creating a committee to explore the possibility of changing our Learning Management System and report card system. The committee will consist of educators, administrators, and community members to participate in vendor demonstrations and provide input to ensure an LMS is selected that best meets the needs of the District. We are looking for 1 to 2 site administrators from both elementary and middle school to join the committee.

The form below has more details regarding time commitment, the number of teachers on the committee, and more. Please fill out the form below by Wednesday, February 1st, if you are interested in joining.

Placer Food Bank Linked above is a resource for the Placer Food Bank public food distribution schedule. This is something helpful to keep in hand for families in need not only during the holidays, but all year long. LiveScan Update The Roseville PD is no longer doing live scans for fingerprinting. Please refer parents to other resources. Fire Marshall Inspection Follow-up was completed with the fire inspector to clarify what each school site needs to have posted. Please review the following and make sure your site is ready to go. In the front office/in safety plan binder- easy to access: - Post the telephone number for the fire department. - List of who does what during a fire emergency. BUSINESS SERVICES Assemblies Involving Animals If you are hosting an assembly at your site that involves animals you may need to have parents sign the SIG Activities Waiver. All assemblies that involve animals on campus should be communicated to parents before the event. This can be done through an email, newsletter, blog, etc. If your students WILL be touching the animals, parents must fill out the SIG Activities Waiver. If your students will NOT be touching animals and will only be looking at the animals from a distance, you do not need to have parents fill out the waiver. Kindergarten Communication Timeline Please refer to this Kindergarten Communication Timeline which has the dates that Swift messages will be sent from the District and from the Site regarding full day Kindergarten and early dismissal for the first 7 days of school.
