2nd-5th Grade i-Ready Family Night

We are hosting an i-Ready Family Night for families with students in 2nd-5th grade. This informational session will provide an overview of diagnostics, personalized instruction, and how both are utilized in the classroom. It will be Tuesday, August 29th, 6:30-7:30 pm on Zoom. Please include the flyer below in your weekly communication to encourage your families to attend.

Helpful Documents

We wanted to remind staff of the two helpful documents below. 


Ed Services 101- This document has a quick overview and resources on a variety of topics such as SSP, ELD, subject specific info, and much more.


Key Resources by Grade Level- This document contains grade-level specific documents that will help support the planning and implementation of English Language Arts, Writing, Math, Science, and Grading.  


CAASPP (SBAC) and ELPAC Scores Updated in Otus

CAASPP and ELPAC scores have been updated in Otus. If you would like to see student scores in Otus (CAASPP, ELPAC,i-Ready, previous grades), a reminder to go to student, then reports, then scroll down. You can switch the CAASPP subject between ELA and Math.

STOPit - Testing
A test alert was sent yesterday. Please see the blog from last week to review the directions if needed. This is a check to see if everyone received the alert in order to make sure it is working. Communicate this with everyone at your site who is a registered user (admin, TOSA, counselors).

Administrator Action Items

  • Update TK teachers on the adapters they will receive for TK headphones

  • Complete Handle with Care Form by August 28th with updated contact information for who on your site should be contacted in these situations

  • Elementary - complete the Suicide Prevention training at a September staff meeting 

  • Please fill out this form by August 30th so that we are able to provide stools to sites as needed

  • Elementary - Review MTSS and Speech & Language slides with your staff by the end of September

  • Send out the STOPit email communication by the end of August.  

  • Go over CAASPP data (grade level data) by the end of September.

This is something helpful to keep in hand for families in need not only during the holidays, but all year long. LiveScan Update The Roseville PD is no longer doing live scans for fingerprinting. Please refer parents to other resources. Fire Marshall Inspection Follow-up was completed with the fire inspector to clarify what each school site needs to have posted. Please review the following and make sure your site is ready to go. In each room by the door: - Post an evacuation map. - Instructions for what to do in an emergency (how do you account for kids, communicate, etc). BUSINESS SERVICES Assemblies Involving Animals If you are hosting an assembly at your site that involves animals you may need to have parents sign the SIG Activities Waiver. All assemblies that involve animals on campus should be communicated to parents before the event. This can be done through an email, newsletter, blog, etc. If your students WILL be touching the animals, parents must fill out the SIG Activities Waiver. If your students will NOT be touching animals and will only be looking at the animals from a distance, you do not need to have parents fill out the waiver. Kindergarten Communication Timeline Please refer to this Kindergarten Communication Timeline which has the dates that Swift messages will be sent from the District and from the Site regarding full day Kindergarten and early dismissal for the first 7 days of school.
