Elks Lodge Poster & Essay Contest
Don't forget to bundle and send all submissions to the District Office no later than Friday, November 3rd, to the attention of Rachel McCoy. See the email sent on October 10th for more information. 


Raptor Update

For Staff Members with rosters, Raptor Alert will now display a direct link to the My Profile & Roster page from the Incident Details of an emergency response. Staff can navigate more quickly to their roster information, account for themselves, and then account for students. 



Lexia Family Night

On Tuesday we hosted a Lexia Family Night for families to learn more about Lexia Core5, how it is used in the classroom, and how families can support their student(s) at home. Families were encouraged to reach out to their student’s teacher with specific questions on progress or for login information. We will be hosting another online only session on November 8th. Families will be sent the information directly. Thank you for your help supporting the families with Lexia Core5. Please reach out to Kelly Yusim with any questions.

Spelling Bee

Can you BEE-lieve it’s time for the Placer County Spelling Bee? The Spelling Bee is for students in grades 4-8. If your site is interested in participating in the Spelling Bee, please complete the Google Form below by October 27th, 2023. For more information and to view the Spelling Bee Timeline, please see the attached document.

Placer Food Bank Linked above is a resource for the Placer Food Bank public food distribution schedule. This is something helpful to keep in hand for families in need not only during the holidays, but all year long. LiveScan Update The Roseville PD is no longer doing live scans for fingerprinting. Please refer parents to other resources. Fire Marshall Inspection Follow-up was completed with the fire inspector to clarify what each school site needs to have posted. Please review the following and make sure your site is ready to go. In the front office/in safety plan binder- easy to access: - Post the telephone number for the fire department. - List of who does what during a fire emergency. In each room by the door: - Post an evacuation map. - Instructions for what to do in an emergency (how do you account for kids, communicate, etc). BUSINESS SERVICES Assemblies Involving Animals If you are hosting an assembly at your site that involves animals you may need to have parents sign the SIG Activities Waiver. All assemblies that involve animals on campus should be communicated to parents before the event. This can be done through an email, newsletter, blog, etc. If your students WILL be touching the animals, parents must fill out the SIG Activities Waiver. If your students will NOT be touching animals and will only be looking at the animals from a distance, you do not need to have parents fill out the waiver. Kindergarten Communication Timeline Please refer to this Kindergarten Communication Timeline which has the dates that Swift messages will be sent from the District and from the Site regarding full day Kindergarten and early dismissal for the first 7 days of school.
