Attendance Flyers
The attendance roadmap and glossary flyer will be delivered to elementary sites by Monday morning for distribution by teachers during conferences. Middle schools please send blurb and flyer(s) in weekly communications.

If you haven’t sent the essays or posters in yet, please send them in to Ed Services, attn Rachel McCoy today. Also, please email Rachel to let her know they are on their way.

New System for 911 Calls
After fall break, we will be moving to a new system with Mitel for 911 alerts. As shared in Leadership, you will no longer be receiving text alerts. You will receive an email, message on desk phone, and an app notification. On Monday, November 13th, emails will be sent to site admin titled Intrado Revolution - Mobile Invitation. This will be your invitation to set up your account via the app. Please follow these instructions.

GATE Testing
The window for families to sign their students up for GATE testing has closed. As a reminder, the GATE test will be administered by contracted examiners and students will test at their home school sites in January. Each site will host testing one day after school and two rooms will be needed for testing. The GATE testing schedule will be shared with principals and site clerical by 11/17. If parents call your site about GATE testing, please remind them that they will receive an email from Educational Services by 12/20 confirming their student’s testing date, time, and location.

Live Scan Financial Support
RCSD does not want the cost of the Live Scan process to be a barrier for parents to participate in their child’s education. If parents are inquiring about financial support for Live Scan services, please contact Laurie Milton at Ext. 50150. Please note that applicants must have TB clearance and be eligible for the free and reduced meal program in order to be considered for financial support.

BUSINESS SERVICES Assemblies Involving Animals If you are hosting an assembly at your site that involves animals you may need to have parents sign the SIG Activities Waiver. All assemblies that involve animals on campus should be communicated to parents before the event. This can be done through an email, newsletter, blog, etc. If your students WILL be touching the animals, parents must fill out the SIG Activities Waiver. If your students will NOT be touching animals and will only be looking at the animals from a distance, you do not need to have parents fill out the waiver.
