ParentSquare
- Please note each student can only be connected to two parents/caregivers in ParentSquare. These are the first two contacts listed in PowerSchool. We are working to allow more than two parents/caregiver accounts, but at this time, only two can be assigned.
- To view all posts sent by a school, click on the "My School, Classes and Groups" drop-down in the top right-hand corner and select "All School, All Classes and All Groups"
- To view any messages sent, please connect with Jessica Hull.

Educational Services
Right at School staff are not to use the new audiovisual equipment that has been installed in the multipurpose rooms at sites. They are aware and understand this expectation. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Safety Resource
Site Safety Information - please check out this “living” document that contains all of our safety resources that a site may need to reference. More will be added in the future. These are all items we have reviewed in the past, but now available for you in one location. It’s recommended that you bookmark it for easy access if you ever need anything. After taking time to review it, please email me if there is something you don’t see on there that would be helpful or ask any questions you may have.

Safety Drills
Once your drills are scheduled for the year, please invite me via Google calendar. If you have a list as well, please email it as I will use it to create a master document for all school sites to share with the fire inspectors. I will try to attend at least one drill this school year. I will also be sharing the dates/times with the fire inspectors (for evacuations) and inviting law enforcement.

Procedure for Restricting Student Access to Library Resources
We are implementing a new procedure in PowerSchool that allows parents and legal guardians to restrict their students' access to specific library resources. This process enables parents to limit access to up to three titles or resources at a time, either from the school library or the classroom library.
Overview of the Procedure:
- Submission: Parents and legal guardians can submit restriction requests through the PowerSchool Parent Portal, following the steps outlined in the How to Update Student Library Resource Access guide
- Weekly Review: Principals will review any “Pending” requests in PowerSchool weekly, following the steps outlined in the guide How to View Students with Pending Library Preference Requests.
- Notification: Upon review, the principal will email the Library Media Specialist (LMS) and any teachers identified by the parent, providing details of the request, including the title, author, and any classroom restrictions.
- Update Destiny: The LMS will update the student’s Patron Status in Destiny, triggering an alert on the student’s record. The LMS will then confirm the update with the principal via email.
- Update PowerSchool: The principal will update PowerSchool to mark the request as “Completed.”
New Updates to Viewing Support Requests in Zendesk
To enhance your ability to manage support requests for your school, we've made updates in Zendesk, assigning all staff to a specific organization. This change allows you to easily access and monitor all support tickets submitted by staff at your site. To help you navigate this new feature, we’ve provided a step-by-step guide below to viewing organization-wide support tickets. This functionality is now available to all Principals, Assistant Principals, and LITEs, enabling you to address any concerns promptly.
