ParentSquare
- Family preferred language: ParentSquare pulls family messaging preferred language (not student language) from PowerSchool. You can change this selection and/or families can change their settings in ParentSquare directly by going to “My Account” and “Language Settings” to select the language they prefer.
- Teacher messages to classrooms will not be viewable by the principal or office staff. Please feel free to share this with your staff members.
- Attendance messages go out at 11 a.m. for all sites and again at 4 p.m. for middle schools. If the alert goes out at 11 a.m., the attendance must be in by 10 a.m.
Reminder: Temperature Guidelines
With high temperatures, it is important that we encourage students that are outside to drink water and get breaks in the shade. When temperatures are 95 degrees and above, activities should be adjusted to reduce strenuous exercises. When the temperature is 100 degrees at the time of the activity, bring the students inside. Any time it is 100 degrees or above, students must be brought inside. For example, if the forecast is a high of 102, but at lunchtime, it is 92, students can go outside and play.
With all warm days, staff should be encouraged to remind students to reduce running/exertion activities and allow any student who complains of overheating to go to the office for rest and observation. With direct sun, certain areas of a school site may increase heat exposure, such as blacktop or concrete areas. Caution should be taken to observe all students for signs of overexposure.
Students who are abnormally affected by high temperatures should be given special consideration, and require follow-up by staff.

One Cycle of TK-5 Professional Development will be held this year. Here is the PD Cycle Schedule that has been shared with teachers. All substitute assignments for the PD will be arranged by Sub Services. Principals, Assistant Principals, and TOSAs should plan on attending one PD day. Resources for Smooth Chromebook Deployment
We are sharing some resources to help ensure a smooth and efficient Chromebook deployment process:
- Zendesk: Chromebook Deployment Procedures. Please take a moment to review the Chromebook Deployment Procedures. This guide provides detailed instructions on how to check out Chromebooks for both Middle and Elementary students and ensures that all steps are followed correctly.
- Surplus Inventory Management. It is crucial to maintain an adequate surplus of devices for unforeseen needs. If your surplus inventory falls below 50%, please submit a support ticket through Zendesk. The minimum thresholds are as follows:
- Middle School: 20 Chromebooks
- Elementary: 10 Chromebooks
- Student Chromebook Deployment. Student Chromebooks have been deployed based on enrollment data as of July 31st. Technology will continue to work with Personnel Services to monitor enrollments to ensure that all students have access to the necessary technology.
- Please note: Chromebooks should not be assigned or used by students who are not allowed to use Google.
- Chromebooks Guide. For your convenience, you can access the Chromebooks Guide, which provides comprehensive information on managing and troubleshooting Chromebooks.
- Devices might be dead from sitting over the summer, please plug them in for at least 10 minutes if a unit won’t turn on.
- Students should be encouraged to keep it plugged in overnight.
