Grant-Funded Field Trips to Blue Line Arts and Roseville Utility Exploration CenterEach field trip's mileage and transportation cost are detailed in the Field Trip Mileage and Cost Spreadsheet. When Roseville High School provides the transportation, these costs will be fully covered by the grant.
However, in instances where Roseville High School cannot accommodate the trip schedule, schools may opt to outsource transportation. Please note that any additional costs incurred due to outsourcing will need to be covered by the school site. An estimated cost is always sent to the site’s clerical staff for review.

Elementary Report CardsPlease see the Educator Digest for additional information that was shared with teachers about report cards. We spoke at Leadership about Spanish report cards. The expectation is that Spanish report cards are printed for students and handed out to them. Spanish report cards do not have to be emailed home.
To run a report to find students whose primary home language is Spanish, you can use the drop down menu in PowerSchool:
Once you click on the grade level, then you would run a report. Additional information can be found utilizing the guide below on how clerical run report cards.
Running Report Card Guide (includes video)
Sites have two options for Spanish report cards. The first is clerical run the report cards and put in the teachers box. The pro of this is it is easier to run them all at once for clerical. The only downside in this is then you have to give teachers a date that the report cards are due. Teachers do have the ability to run their own Spanish report cards, however they have to run their entire class, and then just print out the report cards only for specific students.
If you need any support please submit a Zendesk ticket and we would be happy to help.

Safety Plan Checklist
Please note that the final due date for approval by your SSC or Safety Team is January 17th, however you need to have it completed and reviewed a couple days prior to the meeting. When it is ready for review, please let me know. Reach out if you need any support or would like to set a time to meet.
Just like last year, the mayor’s office and reps from the unions need to be notified of the meeting where you will be reviewing your plan. Jessica Hull will share this communication for the whole district. Please fill out the information requested (date/time of meeting and type of meeting) on this document by October 24th. Also, please make sure your parent community is aware of the meeting as well, therefore make sure it is posted in your blog/newsletter.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month: AI-Driven Gmail Security ThreatA new AI-driven threat is targeting Gmail's 2.5 billion users. Here's what you need to know to stay safe:
Be Cautious of Account Recovery Notifications
If you get an unexpected account recovery alert, don’t respond right away or click any links. Instead, open your browser and go directly to your account to check your security settings. This ensures you’re not reacting to a scam.
Beware of Fake Google Support Calls
Scammers are now using AI to make their calls sound more realistic, pretending to be from Google. Keep in mind, Google will never call you about your account security. If you get an unexpected call or email telling you to act quickly, it’s probably a scam.
Never Share Account Information Over the Phone
Scammers may use partial account details to sound legitimate. Avoid giving out passwords or approving account changes during unsolicited calls.
Verify Through Official Channels
If you're worried about your account security, reach out to Technology Services. We are the only ones who can make changes to your rcsdk8.org account. Google will never contact you directly about it.
Strengthen Your Account Security
Consider signing up for Google’s Advanced Protection Program, which now includes passkeys to give your account extra security.
By staying informed and cautious, you can reduce the risk of falling victim to this scam. Always prioritize security and error on the side of caution.
