Emergency Lockdown Button
When you engage the button for a secure or lockdown drill, there is a two step process to unlock it. On site you will disengage the button and then the other part is done on the computer side by Craig Roush or Micaela Mercer. After your drill is over, please reach out to either of them to let them know the drill is complete and the button has been disengaged. They will log in to complete the final step so your door unlocks. If neither of them can be reached, please contact Rachael Peck.

6-8 Math: IXL Snapshot Diagnostic Has a New Name
IXL is constantly adding new features and updating their platform. One of their latest updates is changing the name of the Real Time Diagnostic in Snapshot mode to Flex Diagnostic in Benchmark mode. Their reason for the change is that Flex Diagnostic better reflects the purpose and impact of the assessment. Nothing is changing with how we assess students or what data we capture, just the name is different.

3-8 Math: Smarter Balanced Focused Interim Assessment Blocks and Curriculum Alignment
Focused Interim Assessment Blocks (FIABs) are short CAASPP-aligned assessments that can be used in many ways in the classroom. Each FIAB typically has 10-15 items, and can be generated as a printable PDF from the Interim Assessment Portal. The grade-level spreadsheets below have all the FIABs for that grade, as well as the links to the Interim Assessment Portal. They also show in which unit or topic the content is taught in the adopted curriculum. The information in these spreadsheets are secure materials and are intended for classroom use only.

Reunification
Reunification cards were delivered to all sites this week. Please keep these with your reunification items if ever needed for an on-site reunification. We are working on other languages as well. We will only be replenishing these if a site uses them for an emergency. Please keep them safe.

SPSA
Goals
When looking at the baseline and expected outcome, remember that we are looking at a multi year goal similar to LCAP goals. You are writing it now in order for the strategies to be implemented next year. If you say you want the outcome to be in 25-26, you will not have that data when reviewing it next year. Your outcome could be for 26/27 or 27/28 and then each year in between you are progress monitoring to see if you are making progress towards the goal. (This is a shift with how we have written our SPSAs.)
Budgeting
I have realized that there is an extra budget page that is not calculating like ones have in the previous years. Please disregard the page titled Budgeted Funds and Expenditures in this Plan. This page will be removed by DTS. If it is still in there when you are done, just leave it unchecked and it won’t populate into your PDF. The other page, Budget Summary, should calculate on its own based on your strategies and expenditures.
As you work on your SPSAs, please continue to reach out if you have any questions.
