Blurb for Family LCAP Survey
Please add the blurb below to your weekly communication. Thank you.
Many RCSD families have shared their perceptions of the district’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) goals and priorities in our annual survey. RCSD is grateful for your responses that will help the district’s planning process.
For those who have yet to complete the survey, there is still time to do so! Please use the following link to access the survey: https://hanover-research.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1AilSeI7HUWVGZg?Group=Parent
The survey closes at the end of day Monday, January 26, 2026, so we ask you to please submit your valued response prior to that date. Your open and honest feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your participation.

Retention Reminders
If a parent requests retention:
  • Have a parent/teacher conference to hear concerns
  • Initiate the SSP process
  • Hold SAM meeting
  • Principal discusses with coach
  • Final outcome/decision for retention is put in writing and a copy is placed in the child’s cum folder - RCSD sample letter (retaining) RCSD sample letter (not retaining) -work with your coach when sending
If a staff member has ongoing concerns about a student, the teacher would initiate the SSP process and discuss retention questions with the principal.
If the student has an IEP, the IEP team should meet to discuss the parent’s request for retention.
Elementary principals, please talk to your entire staff about the process and that they need to talk to you about any concerns in regards to retention, not the parent.

CAASPP Score Report in PowerSchool
Exciting news! Our Technology Department has added a feature in PowerSchool that allows teachers to view their students’ CAASPP score reports in one place, eliminating the need to pull individual reports. Click here for the steps for teachers to follow in PowerSchool. This is a great resource for student goal setting for CAASPP.
