January 6, 2020 PD Day
We are looking forward to our upcoming PD day on January 6th! Click here to see the location of where you will go on that day. This document includes the locations for all RCSD Educators for the day. Please remind your instructional aides that they need to complete professional development hours for the year that equal 3x their daily hours.  There will be an opportunity for them to complete up to 6 hours on January 6th.

RCSD K-5 Agenda
RCSD K-5 general education, RSP, SDC, PE, and Music teachers, for the January 6th PD day we will be at Destiny Church, 6900 Destiny Dr, Rocklin, CA 95677. We will be starting right at 8:30 am.  You and your staff do not need to bring any supplies or a computer for the morning. Please let your staff know what they need to bring for the afternoon. We will be in the same building as the PD on October 31st but in a different room.  Please go into the same doors as you did on that day and someone from RCSD will help direct you where to go.

Essential Standards PLC Feedback Form Reminder   
As a reminder, if your staff has not done so already, please remember to have your PLC’s fill out the Essential Standards Feedback form. It is due on January 6th. Only one form submission per PLC. Thank you!

This is something helpful to keep in hand for families in need not only during the holidays, but all year long. LiveScan Update The Roseville PD is no longer doing live scans for fingerprinting. Please refer parents to other resources. Fire Marshall Inspection Follow-up was completed with the fire inspector to clarify what each school site needs to have posted. Please review the following and make sure your site is ready to go. In the front office/in safety plan binder- easy to access: - Post the telephone number for the fire department. - List of who does what during a fire emergency. In each room by the door: - Post an evacuation map. - Instructions for what to do in an emergency (how do you account for kids, communicate, etc). BUSINESS SERVICES Assemblies Involving Animals If you are hosting an assembly at your site that involves animals you may need to have parents sign the SIG Activities Waiver. All assemblies that involve animals on campus should be communicated to parents before the event. This can be done through an email, newsletter, blog, etc. If your students WILL be touching the animals, parents must fill out the SIG Activities Waiver. If your students will NOT be touching animals and will only be looking at the animals from a distance, you do not need to have parents fill out the waiver. Kindergarten Communication Timeline Please refer to this Kindergarten Communication Timeline which has the dates that Swift messages will be sent from the District and from the Site regarding full day Kindergarten and early dismissal for the first 7 days of school.
