EDUCATIONAL SERVICES i-Ready Subjects of Instruction for the 24/25 School Year If you have not already, please submit the i-Ready Instruction Input Form by April 19th. Contact: Kelly Yusim Elementary Field Day Reminder A reminder that the expectation is that all elementary RCSD students get to experience a Field Day. Please work together with your PE teacher to find a day that works for the site (if you have not already). PE Teachers are responsible for organizing/planning the activities and stations for the day. The chart below shows the growth our K and 1 students have made this year in Lexia. This data is from the beginning of the year (Start Level) until April 2nd, 2024 (End Level). Overall, 55% of K/1 students advanced at least one grade level of material! This is great growth and a true indication of the implementation of Lexia in the K/1 classrooms and the work the teachers are doing. If you would like specific site data, please let me know! EDUCATIONAL SERVICES ELO-P Verification for the 24/25 School Year Emails were sent before break to all families that currently qualify to attend ELO-P programming and based on their registration information for 24/25, no longer qualify. Please check in with your site clerical to ensure they are reviewing their site form responses and updating this information in PowerSchool. Here is the guide for site clerical which shows the steps needed to update income information in PowerSchool. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES RCSD Professional Development Survey, 2024 It is time to develop the next Professional Learning Plan for 2024-2027, as the current 2021-2024 plan will end in June. The Professional Learning Plan will ensure that all students will exit RCSD at the end of eighth grade with strong academic, social-emotional, and behavioral skills. The form below gives all staff an opportunity to be part of this process, and the information gathered in the survey will be used by the Professional Development Advisory Committee (PDAC) to put together a professional learning plan for the next three years. Illness Guidelines Updates RCSD has modified our guidelines utilizing updated guidelines provided by the California Department of Public Health. While these changes are not extensive, it is important for all staff to be aware of them and to review the signs and symptoms sheet available on our  health website   here . This document will help you understand how our schools will be responding to various student health situations. The new guidelines have been shared out with families several times via email, social media, and blogs over the past two weeks, and will go into effect on January 29, 2024.
