Annual Household Eligibility Resources Thank you again for all your work in getting the message out about the Annual Household Eligibility Form. As a reminder, the District will send it out again today 12/10, and please send one last reminder to your families either 12/11 or 12/14. Thank you! Annual Household Eligibility Resources Singing in Class Singing, chanting, shouting, cheering, physical exertion, and similar activities significantly increase the risk of COVID-19 transmission because these activities increase the release of respiratory droplets and fine aerosols into the air. Therefore, these activities should not be occurring in our classrooms. Update on Independent Study Requests Below is messaging you can use if you are getting questions about Independent Study.  This messaging is optional for you to send out, not required, or you can use it when parents ask. The State of California has added increased requirements to Independent Study contracts. Due to these added requirements, RCSD will not be offering Independent Study contracts moving forward for the 20-21 school year. If you have any questions, please contact the school office for support. SARC SARCs are due in Document Tracking Services (DTS) by January 8, 2021. Here is the Principal Task List for the SARC Message to Families A reminder to please send the following message to your families: During the Thanksgiving break, if your child is experiencing any of the symptoms listed below, which may be consistent with the COVID-19 illness, and/or if your child is being tested for a COVID-19 or tests positive for COVID-19, please complete this absence form immediately.  Our district’s nursing staff will follow-up with your family before Monday, November 30th regarding illness. Hand Sanitizer Update We are currently in low supply of individual bottles of hand sanitizer. Please instruct your teachers to do the following two things:  Have students use the hand sanitizer that is attached to the wall in every classroom. Ask parents for donations of hand sanitizers if they would rather use a hand held bottle We are looking into other options right now to see if we can supply bottles for each classroom but until then please do not ask Lori in purchasing for any for your site. Information for Staff The document below will be included in the Educator blog to give staff information to questions they may have in one place. Information for Staff Document- October 22 Champions Academy Materials 1. For the distribution of Core materials, Champions teachers will pick up materials for their students, from the student’s home site between October 28th - 30th.  2. The first materials distribution will be between November 3-6, in order to get materials into the student's hands from the new teacher. This distribution will take care of November. 3. For the remainder of the year, distribution options will be on the second and fourth Thursday of each month (except holidays). Please complete this form with the times parents will be able to pick up materials on the assigned Thursdays beginning in December. And, also indicate when the parents will be able to pick up materials between November 3-6. We will message the dates and times to the familie s through the teacher

Student Placement after November 4th Previously the district communicated that schedules for students would come out next week, 10/19 & 10/23. Following decisions made at tonight’s Board meeting, in his message to families tomorrow, Derk will let families know that schedules will not come out until the week of October 26. During that week, the Technology department will be emailing families their schedules. Once we have more details on the exact date, we will let everyone know with a timeline of expectations for all schools and departments. Report Card As we discussed at Leadership on Tuesday, the District will be running all reports and sending home report cards for this 1st Trimester.  Sites will send it for 2nd and 3rd Trimester.  We are still planning on training admin and clerical how to run report cards in case there are any corrections that need to be made after 10/30 for an individual student.  If you have any questions about the timeline or anything regarding report ca

Student Placement after November 4th Student assignments for their new class, for Champions and on-site, will come out on October 19th for elementary and October 23rd for middle school.  Please do not announce placements or changes before that date, as we are still settling assignments and do not want to create issues around incorrect information being shared. 1st Trimester Grades Please read the Educator Blog for more information regarding Tri 1 Grades.  We will be doing training for admin during leadership on 10/6 and we are also training all site LITEs. Clerical will receive training on how to run report cards and how they can use Swift to send them home since the email will pull the student ID in the PDF.  Middle School has done this before, this will be new information or Elementary.  They will receive this training during site clerical training on 10/22. Changing schedules from DL to Hybrid NOTHING should be changed in Powerschool until the date for changes to begin has been set and sent out to all necessary parties. There is a Leadership Team meeting Tuesday. There is a critical clerical meeting on September 24th. The priority right now is getting families to submit their enrollment priority sheets. The next priority is for site admin to work with HR on staffing. Powerschool changes are not to be made yet until the procedure is complete. We do not want to disrupt current schedules or have families see our schedules as we are making them. Please let your coach know if you have any questions! Leadership A reminder we have Leadership tomorrow.  Here is the agenda for the meeting. SSP Meeting Information There is a meeting scheduled for Tuesday 9/22 (changed from 9/17) to train the NEW SSP facilitators (1st half of the meeting) and give updated information to the entire group (2nd half of the meeting). Here is the document with information and links if you would like to attend a portion or all of the meeting. New and current psychologists and RSP teachers are invited to the training on 9/22 but it is OPTIONAL. If you have a completely new psychologist or RSP teacher, it is recommended they attend the first portion at least (3:30-4:15). As you begin to think about students who may require intervention, it is important to follow the process of SAMs/SSMs. Updated data is required and it is crucial to start new documentation for this school year. Please let your teachers know to follow the process just like they did last year. Dedicate these next few weeks to looking at
