Mentor Teachers for 23/24 School Year Please query your teachers to see if they would be interested in being a mentor teacher for the 23/24 school year. We’ve already been contacted by William Jessup University regarding placement.  Please contact Laurie Milton with the names of your interested teachers. Please include the grade level they will teach for 23/24.  In order to ensure equity, student teachers will be assigned based upon the order response from principals. Laurie will maintain a list and communicate with principals as additional requests are received from credential programs. Report Card Prep A reminder PLC on 2/22/23 is Report Card Prep time. Emergency Alert Buttons   By the end of this week, all of the batteries in the emergency alert buttons will have been replaced by Sonitrol.  This year n we will be asking sites to test their emergency alert button to ensure it is working properly.  More details to come.  If the technician from Sonitrol told you that you need to test

Report Card Reminders Report Cards do not have to go home until March 10th but we wanted to send a reminder now. Principals, please make sure you have communicated with your staff on the timeline for report cards.   2nd Trimester ends on a Tuesday, 2/28, this year. Report Card Prep is 2/22/23. TK: Angela will email TK timeline to TK teachers and will include principals & clerical (clerical do not need to print or email TK report cards).  For MS: Sites will run the final report cards by morning of 3/10, the District will combine the files and email it out.   Elementary PE Reminder A reminder that if there is no sub for your PE class, the PE aide should not be utilized to run PE, even if the general education teacher is there.  The aide may be used in other ways on the campus.  PE teachers have been reporting this is happening more and more and it puts their aides in a bad spot if some are doing it and some are not.  Please make sure you are clear with your staff that if we do not have a sub for PE, they will get paid for their missed prep time, however the PE aide will not be running PE in any way.
