Leadership Meeting Dates
Below are the dates and times for the remaining Leadership meetings this year.
June 4: Kaseberg, 8-9 Leadership, 9-3 CPI
June 5: DO,  8-9 Leadership, 9-3 CPI
June 6: DO, 8:30-12 Leadership PLC

 2019-2020 Professional Development PD Dates
Teachers names have not been updated we will update them in the summer.  Attached is a document containing the professional development dates for the next school year. This includes TK-8th cycle PD’s, Science and History Pilot dates, DTM’s and GLAD training dates. Please use this document to plan your dates for field trips, Open House Etc. In addition, some sites have been changed between groups A and B due to sub numbers.

Middle School Grading Changes
Over the past two years, a committee of elementary and middle school teachers, site admin, and District admin have worked together to research, recommend, and help implement and train teachers in best practices when it comes to assessment, feedback, and grading for our middle school students. Elementary teachers, if you would like more information regarding these changes please see the information page below, or watch the video for further explanation of the middle school grading practices that will begin in August 2019. Students and parents will be notified of these changes on May 20th. Brandon will be going over more information with the elementary principal on the June 6th PLC Leadership.
Thank you to our Assessment, Feedback and Grading Committee for all your work the past two years helping transition our middle schools to standards-based grading.
Digital Literacy Feedback
In August 2018 the RCSD Digital Literacy Team rolled out lessons for Digital Citizenship and student expectations for Digitial Literacy.  Our team would appreciate you taking time to fill out the feedback form below to help us be more effective for students and teachers as we continue to help students be safe and responsible with digital tools, as well as help them learn the skills and tools necessary to be effective with technology.

Students currently in grades 1-4 will have access to EduTyping during the summer.  The District will email parents of students in 1st-4th grade before the end of the school year.   Please feel free to email your class as well if you would like to remind your parents of this tool.

Google Team Drive Being Renamed Shared Drive
Google is updating their Team Drive to now be called Shared Drive sometime soon.  We do not expect to be any functionality differences but if you experience any issues please submit a SchoolDude ticket.

Report Card Reminder
A reminder that the PLC time for report card prep is May 20th.  A reminder that middle school grades will be locked at 11:59pm on May 28th.  Elementary principals, please make teachers know that printed out copies go home by end of the school day on Thursday, May 30th.

Placer Food Bank Linked above is a resource for the Placer Food Bank public food distribution schedule. This is something helpful to keep in hand for families in need not only during the holidays, but all year long. LiveScan Update The Roseville PD is no longer doing live scans for fingerprinting. Please refer parents to other resources. Fire Marshall Inspection Follow-up was completed with the fire inspector to clarify what each school site needs to have posted. Please review the following and make sure your site is ready to go. In the front office/in safety plan binder- easy to access: - Post the telephone number for the fire department. - List of who does what during a fire emergency. In each room by the door: - Post an evacuation map. - Instructions for what to do in an emergency (how do you account for kids, communicate, etc). BUSINESS SERVICES Assemblies Involving Animals If you are hosting an assembly at your site that involves animals you may need to have parents sign the SIG Activities Waiver. All assemblies that involve animals on campus should be communicated to parents before the event. This can be done through an email, newsletter, blog, etc. If your students WILL be touching the animals, parents must fill out the SIG Activities Waiver. If your students will NOT be touching animals and will only be looking at the animals from a distance, you do not need to have parents fill out the waiver. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES LCFF Funds If you are placing any orders using LCFF money, here is a helpful resource to look at when determining if LCFF can be used. When in doubt, always reach out to your coach or Rachael. Kindergarten Communication Timeline Please refer to this Kindergarten Communication Timeline which has the dates that Swift messages will be sent from the District and from the Site regarding full day Kindergarten and early dismissal for the first 7 days of school.
