Rest of the Year Leadership Meeting Dates
Below are the dates and times for the remaining Leadership meetings this year. All principals are expected to attend the CPI training both days.
June 4: Kaseberg, 8-9 Leadership, 9-3 CPI
June 5: DO,  8-9 Leadership, 9-3 CPI
June 6: DO, 8:30-12 Leadership PLC

2019-2020 Leadership Dates and Times
Please use the link below to access the Leadership Meeting Dates & Times for the 2019-2020 school year.  These dates have been added to the Ed. Services Calendar of Events as well.  Next year the length of the meetings has been extended because we are combining Leadership along with the Principal PLC. We have to start later in the day on Tuesdays to ensure that we do not disrupt SSP schedules. We will be asking for feedback about the one day vs. two days in December.

Employee Recognition Celebration
A reminder that the Employee Recognition Celebration is Wednesday, May 29, 2019, 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm in District Office Board Room.
We will be recognizing Retirees, Teachers of the Year, Classified Employees of the Year, Nobili Award, and employees who have been with the district for ten, twenty, twenty-five, thirty, and forty years.

MTSS Conference July 29 and 30th in Long Beach
The California Department of Education in partnership with the Orange County Office of Education is sponsoring an MTSS conference in July in Long Beach. The conference looks like it will host many of the MTSS gurus and experts in the field and we think it is going to be worthwhile. The Ed Services team is taking a group from our MTSS committee. If you are interested in learning more about it check out the link.

NEW K-5th Writing Curriculum Pacing Guide for 2019-2020
Below is the scope and sequence pacing guide for our new writing curriculum Lucy Calkins Units of Study.  The pacing guide shows suggested teaching and pacing of each unit and the order in which we suggest you go in.  In addition, you will find the timing for CAASPP prep and the implementation of the RCSD pre and post On Demand writing prompts.

NEW K-5th Writing Curriculum Available for Pick Up
July 8th -July 19th: Teachers can pick up their Lucy Calkins Units of Study Curriculum kits at the District Office. If you are not available to pick up your kit, they will be available for pick up on August 5th’s District Professional Development day. ALL teachers must have their kits for the August 5th Training on the new curriculum.
