EL & ELD Information - ELLevation Presentations
Please work with your EL Site Leaders to schedule a time for them to present the Introduction to ELLevation Site Presentation Slides. The presentation will take approximately 30 minutes and can be completed at an upcoming staff meeting or on November 1, as part of your Site Staff Development Day. Thank you.

EL & ELD Information - Designated ELD Reminder
Please remember that California requires that all EL students receive daily Designated English Language Development (ELD) instruction. Designated ELD is dedicated and protected time that is spent focusing on language acquisition and the CA ELD standards. Best practice is to provide at least 30 minutes of Designated ELD each day. The 30 minutes may be broken up into shorter chunks of time to best support students in learning the language that is needed to access academic content. It is important that teachers are able to “point to” the dedicated Designated ELD time in their daily schedule.

BUSINESS SERVICES Assemblies Involving Animals If you are hosting an assembly at your site that involves animals you may need to have parents sign the SIG Activities Waiver. All assemblies that involve animals on campus should be communicated to parents before the event. This can be done through an email, newsletter, blog, etc. If your students WILL be touching the animals, parents must fill out the SIG Activities Waiver. If your students will NOT be touching animals and will only be looking at the animals from a distance, you do not need to have parents fill out the waiver.
