  • Elementary PD on March 21, 2022 Info
We wanted to give you more details about the March 21 PD Day. Brandon emailed all TK teachers so they know they are to attend this presentation. Susan will let RSP, SDC, ASD, and FSP teachers know they also will attend. PE teachers are meeting on their own during this time and will go over the sections that are specific to them. Music teachers swapped out this day for a Saturday music training they did in January. Aides will be getting additional information from Susan. If you have any questions about who should be attending the grading section of the PD day please let your coach know. Thanks!

  • Girls on the Run
We wanted to celebrate that RCSD is the #1 largest school district in the program, with 32 percent of the girls this season coming from RCSD schools! We know for various reasons GOTR didn’t work for all of our sites but great to see so many of our RCSD students participating in this positive program.
  • Raptor
Please make sure to use time with your staff this month to complete the initial setup in Raptor and practice viewing rosters during a drill situation (without the kids). A couple of things have come up during the initial setup:
    • Outside locations for evac drills have not been loaded in your account. Please email me the names of the locations you would like entered and I will get it done. For example, if you evac to the track, upper blacktop, and parking lot, send me those names.
    • There are about 50 iPads that are at their end of life that the app isn’t downloading on. If the teacher has one of those, it will not work. Laura sent an email yesterday to the sites that have these iPads. It will work once they get their new one.
    • Anyone on your campus can initiate an emergency using Raptor. Due to this, please make sure you are choosing to initiate a drill when practicing, not an emergency.
    • If you want to prevent the chance of a staff member not being able to log in on the Raptor app during your meeting, you can have them initially try it on the computer. Have them go to raptortech.com, choose Log In in the upper right, enter their email and password. If they are unable to log in then put in a tech ticket.
    • Check out the FAQs to see what others have asked to prepare you for questions you might receive from your staff. Reach out to me if you have any other questions.
