 Placer County ACSA Teachers Who Make A Difference Event

SARB Referrals Back Open

PCOE has added 2 additional virtual days for the month of May to accommodate the increased need and opened the SARB referral site back up. 


We expect spots to fill out quickly. We will take referrals on a first come first serve basis, for both the referral submission and the supporting documents. 


In order to ensure SARB sees students and families that will benefit the most from our involvement, please use your best judgment in sending students to May SARB. If you think your students and families will benefit from accountability and a track to Truancy Court please submit the SARB referral. If your student and families will benefit from support and connection to services, you can fill out a Request For Assistance referral and the PCOE team can work with you to reach out and support the families. 


Classified Calendars

All classified employees have received their calendars for the 23/24 school year.  Additionally, employees that follow the 225, 250, and 260 day calendars received updated calendars for the 22/23 school year as they now have June 19th off in recognition of Juneteenth, a Federal Holiday.

Administrator Action Items

  • Teacher Who Makes a Difference nomination AND photo are due to the County by May 5 at noon.

  • TK Form - send by Friday, April 21st at 4:00 and monitor responses to ensure that all TK families are filling it out. Families should complete before June 6, 2023, but in your communication ask for it to be completed in three weeks time. 

  • Review hiring best practices and share with your panel

  • Follow the VidCruiter to EdJoin workflow for reviewing and interviewing candidates.

  • Elementary: If you haven’t already, please complete the i-Ready Instruction Input Form by Friday, April 21st. 


CRITICAL Google Chrome Update - Please Update and Relaunch Chrome

The California Cyber Threat Integration Center (Cal-CSIC) has become aware of a zero-day vulnerability which affects Windows, Mac, and Linux systems, and is actively being exploited. The high-severity vulnerability allows a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.


Please use the below steps to update Google Chrome to version 112.0.5615.121 or higher as soon as possible.


  1. On your computer, open Chrome.

  2. At the top right, click More More.

  3. Click Help and then About Google Chrome.

  4. Click Update Google Chrome.

Important: If you can't find this button, you're on the latest version.

  1. Click Relaunch.


The browser saves your opened tabs and windows and reopens them automatically when it restarts.

BUSINESS SERVICES Assemblies Involving Animals If you are hosting an assembly at your site that involves animals you may need to have parents sign the SIG Activities Waiver. All assemblies that involve animals on campus should be communicated to parents before the event. This can be done through an email, newsletter, blog, etc. If your students WILL be touching the animals, parents must fill out the SIG Activities Waiver. If your students will NOT be touching animals and will only be looking at the animals from a distance, you do not need to have parents fill out the waiver.
