Lexia AutoPlacement Assessments
Please have all Lexia AutoPlacement assessments completed by 10/06/23. Please remember that students should be spending a minimum of 15-25 minutes on Lexia instruction. depending on grade level. Please adjust according to your students and their instructional goals. 
Kindergarten: 15-20 minutes a week
1st Grade: 20-25 minutes a week
Progress Report Reminder
A reminder that progress reports go home Friday, September 29th.  There are more details in the Educator Blog if needed. Middle Schools it is your responsibility to send out a message by 9/29/23, here is a sample message you can use.

District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC)

If you have not done so already, please complete the 2023-2024 DELAC Site Representative Form  by 10/6 to share the name of your site DELAC representative for this school year. DELAC meetings are held from 5:00-6:00, via Zoom, and 4 -5 times per year. Jennie will reach out to all representatives to invite them to the first DELAC meeting that will be held on 10/17. Thank you.

Google Workspace for Education Changes

Beginning October 23, 2023, Google Workspace for Education will undergo changes that require all third-party apps and Chrome extensions to be reviewed and confirmed by the District before staff or students can access them. The good news is that we've already prepared for this change with the implementation of App Access Control last Spring.


We have surveyed our LITE team to identify commonly used Chrome extensions throughout the District and will pre-approve the below list prior to the change:

When doing so, please make sure to select “Application Support” as the Request Type and specify “Chrome Extension” as the Sub-Type to ensure that your request is directed appropriately. Chrome extensions not approved prior to October 23, 2023, will be inaccessible.

BUSINESS SERVICES Assemblies Involving Animals If you are hosting an assembly at your site that involves animals you may need to have parents sign the SIG Activities Waiver. All assemblies that involve animals on campus should be communicated to parents before the event. This can be done through an email, newsletter, blog, etc. If your students WILL be touching the animals, parents must fill out the SIG Activities Waiver. If your students will NOT be touching animals and will only be looking at the animals from a distance, you do not need to have parents fill out the waiver. Kindergarten Communication Timeline Please refer to this Kindergarten Communication Timeline which has the dates that Swift messages will be sent from the District and from the Site regarding full day Kindergarten and early dismissal for the first 7 days of school.
