    Linked above is the document for Tier 3 Support with Naomi Blaine (District Licensed Social Worker) and Lori Christensen (District Behavior Analyst). Please refer to this for how/when to reach out for support with any of the following: general education behavior concerns, McKinney Vento & Foster Youth, risk to self-assessment, attendance, and social-emotional concerns.   • Site CAASPP Training
    We wanted to let you know that your District and State Assessment Leader will need to find time to go over CAASPP training with staff. The expectation is that every site goes over CAASPP training with their 3-5 teachers in elementary (and any other staff that might be assisting, for example, the site RSP teacher), and for middle school any teachers that will be operating a testing session or assisting with CAASPP testing. The mast slide deck is below, however, your Leader should have made a copy to add site-specific information. Kelly will be hosting a Zoom on 4/4/22 from 3:15-4 pm for any staff member that wants additional training. More information on that session will be included in the Educator Blog as we get closer.

  • Elementary- March 21 PD Day
    We went over this at Leadership but wanted to put a reminder in the blog. On the March 21 PD day, we will be going over Assessment, Feedback, and Grading (AFG) information. You will be at your site and the training needs to be in person. Here are the presenters for that day. Brandon will be going over the presentation with the presenters on March 7. If your presenter is a teacher (not district admin) please check in with them before the presentation and see if there is anything they need. Any printed materials will be delivered to your presenter the week before (or if Brandon, Kelly, or Megan are presenting they will just bring the materials). Plan on the PD taking 2.5 hours, Brandon will update if it will take less time after walking through it with the team. The other part of the day is site choice (DTM, PLC, RP work).

  • Elementary Suicide Prevention Information
    Please make sure to take time between now and May to show the screencastify of the slides Naomi reviewed at Leadership this week. The video is just over 21 minutes. Connect with your school psych or counselor to be available at the meeting in case staff has questions.

  • Registration Email Reminder - Incoming 7th Graders
    Just a reminder to continue using the Registration/Transfer Key Dates document for when sites need to send out reminders to your community regarding 2022-23 registration. All the boxes highlighted in gold are for sites to send. Specifically, just a reminder that tomorrow, sites should send out the Email to Incoming 7th graders on IZs. This should go out to all current 6th-grade parents on the needed IZ’s their students will need prior starting 7th grade.

Please refer parents to other resources. Fire Marshall Inspection Follow-up was completed with the fire inspector to clarify what each school site needs to have posted. BUSINESS SERVICES Assemblies Involving Animals If you are hosting an assembly at your site that involves animals you may need to have parents sign the SIG Activities Waiver. All assemblies that involve animals on campus should be communicated to parents before the event. This can be done through an email, newsletter, blog, etc. If your students WILL be touching the animals, parents must fill out the SIG Activities Waiver. If your students will NOT be touching animals and will only be looking at the animals from a distance, you do not need to have parents fill out the waiver. Kindergarten Communication Timeline Please refer to this Kindergarten Communication Timeline which has the dates that Swift messages will be sent from the District and from the Site regarding full day Kindergarten and early dismissal for the first 7 days of school.
