General Information Update

Safety Corner
Fire Inspections
One of our fire inspectors shared the top things she notices in rooms during inspections. Please make sure to review these with staff.
  • Only 20% of each wall can be covered with paper unless it's flame resistant (need to be able to prove it’s flame resistant paper, so keep the box).
  • No 3D art on walls. The art creates pockets of air.
  • Evacuation maps are not posted near the doors. Some rooms have them in their "go bags," which does not meet the requirement. They need to be on the wall by the exit door.
Backpacks for Students in Need
A big THANK YOU to the Tommy Apostolos Fund for supporting our McKinney-Vento and Foster Youth Students with new backpacks for the school year. A supply box is also being created with the funds for Naomi Blaine to have on hand throughout the year for students in need.

THANK YOU to Woodbridge for sharing some extra backpacks that were donated to them by a group of women in West Roseville. If you need more backpacks, please let me know.

Connecting with the Roseville Police Department
To continue building relationships with the local police department, the Facebook post below was shared with Roseville PD and the patrol units in hopes we can start something similar. Although their days are busy, there is an interest to stop by when they can. If an officer shows up on a Friday, please welcome them and include them in your morning as you welcome kids in.
