 Substitute Teacher Sign-in

Subs at your site should be signed in via Raptor daily upon arrival.  This will ensure that they are on your site list in the event of a drill or emergency.  This includes all subs: teachers, aides, clerical, etc. If your clerical staff who manages Raptor check in is absent, please have the other clerical sign into Raptor for them. Please share this reminder with your site clerical staff. 

 

Elks Lodge Contest - Red Ribbon Week 

Today you will be getting an email with the dates and details of the Elks Lodge Red Ribbon Week contest.  Please note the due dates on your calendar and share the contest information with your staff, students and families. Elementary sites will be receiving their poster paper on Monday.  


Care Solace

We are continuing our partnership this year with Care Solace.  Care Solace can be used to connect our families to verified mental health and substance use treatment providers in our community.  The Care Companion team is availale 24/7 and cane be reached via phone or on their website at www.caresolace.com/rcsdfamilies. A wam hand off can also be made by having your school psychologist or counselor engage with the family and initiate the process.  More information can be found on the FAQs sheet.

SPSA Reminders

In order to keep things on track to ensure SPSAs are completed on time, this Friday is the checkoff time for the Comprehensive Needs Assessment.  The Needs Assessment for each site will be reviewed early next week and feedback will be given.  


If you are looking for ideas for LCFF spending to provide increased and improved services to support the academics, behavior, and social emotional needs of your subgroups, please refer the LCFF Spending sheet for ideas.  Also, please remember to state goal in the requisition comments when your sire is using LCFF funds.  If it is for art docent, using the art money, please also state Art Docent.

Raptor - Dashboard View 

Based on feedback, some leaders have asked how to navigate the dashboard during a drill in Raptor.  Although you can navigate it on your phone or IPad, a computer screen will give you a larger view at one time by logging into raptortech.com.  Please check out this short Screencastify Video. One thing to note when looking at details of students and staff is the default is set at showing 10 staff/students at a time.  You can change this at the bottom to quickly view more at one time.  This is helpful when supporting staff who need help accounting for themselves.

Newcomer English Learners: Rosetta Stone 

At this time, all of our district-purchased Rosetta Stone licenses have been assigned to Newcomer English Learners. If you are interested in purchasing your own site licenses please review this Information About Site-Purchased Rosetta Stone Licenses. Please note that purchasing additional licenses would be a site expense

District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC)

Please complete the 2022-2023 DELAC Site Representative Form  by 10/7 to share the name of your site representative for the 2022-2023 school year. DELAC meetings are held from 5:00-6:00, via Zoom, and 4 -5 times per year. Jennie will reach out to all representatives to invite them to the first DELAC meeting that will be held on 10/18. BUSINESS SERVICES Assemblies Involving Animals If you are hosting an assembly at your site that involves animals you may need to have parents sign the SIG Activities Waiver. All assemblies that involve animals on campus should be communicated to parents before the event. This can be done through an email, newsletter, blog, etc. If your students WILL be touching the animals, parents must fill out the SIG Activities Waiver. If your students will NOT be touching animals and will only be looking at the animals from a distance, you do not need to have parents fill out the waiver. Kindergarten Communication Timeline Please refer to this Kindergarten Communication Timeline which has the dates that Swift messages will be sent from the District and from the Site regarding full day Kindergarten and early dismissal for the first 7 days of school.
